“Anything is possible if you try” said Terry Fox who is still inspiring millions across the globe. A year back I was just an ordinary person who runs short distance regularly without any goals or consistency. But now, the foresaid short note becomes once up on a time.
I was happened to meet Chennai Runner team during an event near Ashok Pillar and I surprised to know that they have many active runners’ group in and around Chennai, where the runners assemble at a common place and train as a group to participate in running events conducted across the nation. By knowing this, I became more curious to join in their groups and I joined the Pillar Pacers team with in a week. After joining there, I realized that they are not only training for themselves, but also helps and supports new runners to improve their stamina, posture and consistency.

I was super excited to be in that enthusiastic team and attended the weekly training programs regularly. Know what? Because of this I have participated in Chennai Marathon – 2020 and successfully completed my first ever Half Marathon under 2 hours and 30 minutes. So, it is a runner’s group and obviously you will get guidance, training and knowledge on running. Can you guess what are all the other added advantages to be in the part of this team? Let me explain it as follows,
The team has people in varied age groups from 20 to 60 and during the interaction with them gives you lot of wisdom and knowledge from their life experience.
The team not only train and motivate peoples to run, it also does many social activities which benefits the needy and leave a better environment for the future generations.
This team makes you to feel like a family and hence they never miss to celebrate the birthday of their members.
This team will also teach you how to do the first aid at an emergency situation and
It brings smile in your face whenever you run, with a sense of best accomplishment.
